, maybe you’ve tried strength training programs before and they didn’t stick.

Or you’ve tried apps and YouTube videos to find yourself maxed out on your strength gains or plagued by overuse injuries?

Or maybe you’re completely new to strength training and you just want to lay a solid foundation.

We get a lot of questions about the Strong Course, so we wanted to take a moment to answer the most common ones.

I’m new to lifting/have been lifting a while/new to barbell or any variation of where you may be, does this program work for me?

💪 Yes, we designed this program for every level!

A good strength training program will focus on the foundation and even the most advanced lifters will spend the majority of their time on those things.

You get to self-select your starting point (which we call a cycle) based on your experience, the availability of equipment and your goals. You can start with bodyweight, dumbbells, or barbells, and there’s a video that explains each cycle and how to progress from one to the next.

Does the program give me suggested weights?

🏋️‍♀️ Nope, we base everything on rate of perceived exertion (RPE) and help you learn how to listen to your body's cues around that. Because it’s based on RPE, it helps you learn to adjust for how your body feels based on your hormones, your nutrition, your other training, and your daily stress.

Does this program work for menopausal women or pregnant women or adolescents?

🤸‍♀️ Yes, again because we focus on quality movement and rate of perceived exertion, you’ll be able to adapt the program to how your body feels. We also cover how hormones can impact strength training in one of the educational modules.

Who creates the strength training program?

💁🏻‍♀️ Cassi Niemann is our strength coach and she has over 15-years of coaching experience. She holds a certification from Barbell Medicine, one of the top strength training certifications in the country and works with women of all ages, body weights, and goals. She has also trained for triathlons, half marathons, and was a competitive rower so she knows how to balance strength and endurance training.

Which movements does the course focus on?

👟 We primarily work on the five basic movements that are the foundation for every other movement. If you can move well doing these basic movements under load, you’ll be more successful in other movements.

Those are the squat, deadlift, bench press, press and core.

What do I do if I’m injured or have a limitation around a certain movement?

🩹 We have a whole section of the course about injury, mobility and offer ways to adapt movements based on limitations you may have.

What if I can't attend the live sessions or I get busy over the holidays?

🔑 You have lifetime access to the course and can watch the replays any time. We encourage you to participate in the community because we know it helps people stay motivated and work toward their goals but we know life gets busy. You can always come back!

Does this course include nutrition advice?

🍿 Yes, we have an educational module on how you can support your strength training through your daily nutrition, pre and post workout nutrition, and which supplements are worth your money.
