, it seems like everyone is trying to sell a βwomenβs specificβ strength training program right now.Β
When it comes down to it, women donβt need a special strength training program. A squat is a squat. It works for a man and for a woman.🏋οΈββοΈ🏋οΈ
So why are we selling a strength course for women? 💭
Itβs not because strength training for women is special, itβs because for decades women were left out of the weight room.Β
Historically, culturally and even in sports science, women havenβt been considered in the conversation around strength training.Β
This has created barriers for women, leaving some of us unsure about where to start in the weight room. Not only that, we have invested very little time and money researching how female physiology impacts things like mobility, bone density, balance, and stability.
Weβve always heard about how men should change their nutrition or incorporate supplements into their diet for muscle growth, but, as women, we have very little information about how to get the most out of ourΒ Β strength training.
Thatβs why we created the strong course. Because we know that the women in our community are smart and savvy and deserve to be in control of their bodies and their health. We know that knowledge is power.
So what makes this course different from all of the other programs out there?Β
β‘οΈ Letβs start with how weβre similar. You DO get a 16-week progressive strength training program designed to help you safely and effectively move into the compound lifts, found to be most effective for building strength.Β
These include the foundational movements β squat, deadlift, and press variations. Once you can do these movements well, you can add in all sorts of variations.Β Β
β‘οΈ Hereβs what makes this program unique. The course includes five educational modules designed to give you everything you need to confidently support your strength training program including:Β
βοΈΒ Β Goal setting and motivation
βοΈΒ Β A basic understanding of how we develop strengthΒ
βοΈ Adaptations for your life stage including puberty, pregnancy, hormonal birth control, menopause and beyond
βοΈΒ Β Fueling strategies to make the most out of your time in the weight room
βοΈ Supplements that actually work
βοΈ How to adapt your training plan based on your goals, especially for individuals who train for endurance events
βοΈ Mobility and injury prevention
