Hi ,

I was introduced to the Vermont gravel scene back in early 2020, when we had Laura King on the podcast. She talked about rolling green mountains, covered bridges, farms and rivers, and tiny villages with general stores that sell maple creemees and ridiculously good pastries. It sounded like a dream place to ride a bike.

Ever since that conversation, Vermont has been on my β€œsomeday” list.

So when the opportunity came up to host one of our mechanic camps in the summer, Vermont immediately felt like the perfect fit β€” a place where we could combine what we do best (hands-on bike mechanic education) with a destination that invites you to slow down, explore, and really enjoy being on your bike.

That’s how Mechanic Camp Vermont came to life.

From June 10–14, we’ll spend four days based at Madbush Falls, riding quiet gravel roads straight from the door, learning how our bikes actually work, eating great food, and connecting with other women who love bikes. Think summer camp energy β€” but focused on learning to wrench in a space created for women, then heading out to ride and play bikes every day with your new besties.

On the mechanic side, this is a true deep dive into your bike. You’ll work hands-on with experienced mechanics and spend real time understanding how everything functions together. We’ll cover:

  • Setting up and maintaining tubeless tires (including how to troubleshoot issues mid-ride)

  • Adjusting and fine-tuning your drivetrain and shifting

  • Understanding and maintaining disc brakes

  • Dialing in fit-related adjustments at the cockpit

  • Bar tape, chain waxing, and essential bike care

  • And more

This isn’t a quick workshop β€” it’s bike school. You won’t just learn what to do, but why you’re doing it, so you can make confident decisions about your bike long after camp ends.

And when we’re not wrenching, we’ll be out riding some of the most beautiful gravel Vermont has to offer: rolling roads, lush scenery, covered bridges, and those little villages you’ll want to stop in β€œjust for a minute.” It’s the kind of riding that reminds you why you fell in love with bikes in the first place.

This camp isn’t about being the strongest or fastest rider. It’s about feeling capable, curious, and supported β€” and pairing real skill-building with a scenic getaway where everything is taken care of for you.

If Vermont has ever felt like a β€œsomeday” destination for you, I’d love for you to come experience it with us.

Hope to see you there,
