Hi ,
After hosting five mechanic camps, one thing has become clear:
Women come to gain confidence in their bike skills.
But what they really experience is what it feels like to learn in a space designed specifically for them.
Over the past year, I’ve heard people say we no longer need women’s-only spaces. That women are strong and confident and will show up anywhere.
Women are strong. That’s not the question.
But strength doesn’t cancel out culture.

We just watched the Winter Olympics, where women brought home the majority of gold medals for Team USA. Millions tuned in to watch the women’s hockey final.
And yet, when a celebratory phone call to the men’s hockey dismissed women’s sport — not one person in that room spoke up. They laughed.
Every woman who has ever been underestimated knows: It’s not “just a joke.” It’s not “just drunk comments.” And yes — it’s a big deal.
Because being undervalued is rarely loud.
It’s subtle.
It’s cultural.
It’s cumulative.
That’s why we build spaces where women are centered, not an afterthought.

At Bike Mechanic Camp, we promise one of the most thorough, hands-on mechanic education experiences you’ll find delivered by professional female mechanics in an environment where you’re treated like the smart, capable woman you are.
Here’s what you’ll actually learn:
-
Tubeless tire setup and maintenance as well as a variety of ways to handle flats.
-
How your brake systems work — and how to adjust, change and troubleshoot them.
-
Drivetrain fundamentals: chain wear, derailleur adjustments, smooth shifting.
-
Preventative maintenance so small issues don’t become big ones.
You’ll have space to ask questions.
You’ll work on your own bike and have all of your work checked by a mechanic.
You’ll leave understanding your bike, not just hoping it works.
And you’ll get some amazing riding each day with a little optional skills work along the way.
You’ll do it all in a space where you don’t have to prove you belong.

If you’ve been wanting to learn to wrench on your bike and looking for an environment built with women in mind, this is your invitation to join us.
We still have openings for our Vermont Camp June 10-14 and Tucson November 12-16.
The event is all-inclusive so you don’t have to worry about anything but wrenching and riding once you arrive.
👉 Sign up for Vermont (Gravel bikes only unless you don’t plan to ride.)
👉 Sign up for Tucson (Road or gravel bikes can be brought to Tucson. Tubeless set up and disc brakes are preferred for road bikes. Sorry, no tri bikes!)
We’re not creating these spaces because women aren’t capable.
We’re creating them because we deserve to be centered.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out
