🇫🇷 Recap: A couple highlights of the first two days
🚴♀️ It's been a busy start to the Games already — with Australia's Grace Brown winning a surprising, rainy, and crash-filled cycling time trial. (The crowds were sparse at first, but came out to cheer as the race went on. Especially for the French riders!) FUN FACT: This is the first Olympics the men and women race the same distance.
🏊♀️ The Australians also dominated in the pool — winning both the 400m free (beating both Katie Ledecky & Canada's Summer McIntosh) AND the 4x100m relay 🇦🇺🇦🇺
🤸♀️ And Simone Biles is back 🐐 — nailing qualifying rounds despite a calf injury. THE BIG QUESTION: With each country only allowed to qualify *two* athletes through to the individual all-around final, it came down to just .067 points between Jordan Chiles and Suni Lee for the second spot.
🚵♀️ The queen of mountain biking, Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, finally got her Olympic medal & it came in front of home crowds 🇫🇷: We're not crying, you're crying.
